Investor Relations
Central strives to build and maintain positive relations with all its partners. These include our oil and gas industry partners, our bankers, professional industry organizations and the local communities where our properties are located. We recognize the important contribution of all of our various relationships and strive to fulfill our commitment to those who support us.
We endeavor to provide critical and up-to-date information to our industry partners and bankers, ensuring their ability to make timely and informed decisions. Operations meetings are scheduled in the normal course of business and site inspections and field trips are planned as calendars permit. Because we listen to our industry partners, all have invested with Central on multiple transactions.
Executives of Central serve as officers, directors and members of many professional industry organizations, including the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States (IPAMS), the National Association of Lease & Title Analysts (NALTA), the International Association of Petroleum Geologists (IAPG), and other international associations.
Central also takes pride in its community relationships through charitable contributions and philanthropic support. We have been the major sponsors of food banks, library book acquisitions, new equipment for local fire departments, junior sport teams, fuel support for police departments, hospital equipment acquisition, and exhibitions and promotions for the arts, to mention a few. Our employees refer and sponsor each program and our management team will study the program for its suitability prior to implementation. The program must match the needs of each individual community. As an example of this, at the recommendation of our Argentine field employees, Central International Corporation purchased an ultrasound machine for the local town hospital, near the location of our Catriel Oeste Field. With the acquisition of this valuable piece of equipment for the hospital, ultrasound diagnostics could now be performed locally instead of 80 miles distant over narrow and difficult roads.
We actively participate in industry functions sponsored by governmental agencies promoting trade between nations, including the US Department of Commerce and the Canadian General Consulate. We are corporate members of various international trade groups, such as the World Trade Organization and the Chamber of the Americas, and cooperate with them in support of foreign trade missions and receptions for visiting dignitaries. In addition, our executives and managers have been featured speakers at many functions presented by these organizations.
